How does stocktaking and cycle counting work?

Can I switch between FIFO and FEFO mid-year?
Yes — the change applies to new picks; in-flight picks keep their original suggestion. Batch Picking Rule lives under Company Settings → Inventory Settings and can be flipped at any time.
How do multiple barcodes per product work?
Each product can carry up to five barcodes (entered comma-separated). Any of them scanned at the handheld, warehouse app or driver app resolves to the same SKU — covering OE, supersession, internal and legacy codes. An unknown barcode shows a warning; no silent fallback.
How does Catch Weight pricing flow through to the invoice?
For catchweight-flagged products, actual weight captures at pick (or at the van for variable-weight loads); per-line weight breakdown carries through to the invoice; any catchweight variance against the expected weight flows to a credit note automatically. Enable Weight Breakdown for Catch Weight Products in Company Settings to switch to per-unit captured-weight pricing.
Can Deposit Items have monthly holding rent?
Yes — configure Monthly Deposit Rent per Deposit Item. Rent bills per unit held per month based on the current balance; balances cannot go negative; deactivating a deposit item preserves historical balances but blocks new movements.
How does IMEI tracking handle returns?
Returns reverse the chain one step at a time — the unit moves Retailer → Vehicle → Warehouse, never skipping stages. Each IMEI stays unique across the tenant; deactivating an IMEI-tracked product preserves history so previously-sold units remain traceable for warranty and right-to-repair audit.
How is consignment stock tracked?
Consignment stock sits in a separate location bucket and is not counted as on-hand — ownership only transfers at count-and-invoice time, not at delivery. Drivers count remaining stock at each visit and replenish back to par; the consumed difference invoices automatically. The van side of this — mobile counts, invoicing and cash close — runs in van sales software, and demand forecasting that drives replenishment lives in AI automation & forecasting.
