What an ePOD records

The same facts as a signed delivery note, plus evidence paper cannot hold.

  • The signature and the name of the person signing.
  • The time of the delivery, and the location where it is configured.
  • Delivered lines, shorts, refusals and returns, each with a reason.
  • Photos of the goods, the drop point or any damage.
  • Extras such as temperature readings for chilled goods.

How ePOD works on the round

The driver opens the stop on the app, confirms the lines, records any exceptions and captures the signature. Without signal, the record is held on the device and sent when the connection returns. The office sees the POD against the order, and the invoice can follow the delivered quantities rather than the ordered ones.

ePOD makes a disputed delivery easier to settle. Fewer failed deliveries come from planning instead: routes built around each customer’s receiving window.
